In efforts to strengthen sustainable health regulation, reform training, education, and practice for the future, the Association of Medical Councils of Africa (AMCOA) annually hosts its international conference in member states around Africa. Today, the conference officially opened with the host, the Rwanda Medical and Dental Council (RMDC), under the theme “Team-Based Care and Regulation for the Attainment of Universal Health Care,” scheduled to take place from September 4–7, 2023, at the Marriott Hotel, Kigali, Rwanda.
The conference brings together health regulators, academics, health professionals, policymakers, and members of the public and with the aim of facilitating an exchange of information and meaningful collaboration among health practitioners’ regulatory authorities, which will provide for the development of concepts and new approaches in health practitioner regulation.
Representing Liberia are Chair Dr. Benetta Collins Andrews and Registrar General Dr. Augustus Garlet Quiah of the Liberia Medical and Dental Council – LMDC.
