Licensing Process for Doctors in Liberia
To obtain a General Practitioner's license in Liberia, one must meet the following requirements:
1. Graduation from a recognized medical degree-granting program.
2. Completion of a one-year internship under the supervision of a consultant, covering General Medicine, OBGYN, General Surgery, and Pediatrics.
3. Submission of a copy of the signed logbook, which is evaluated by the Liberia Medical and Dental Council Credential Committee.
4. Qualification by the evaluation committee, leading to the issuance of the license.
For those seeking a Specialist License:
1. Successful completion of a recognized Residency Program.
2. Passing the required Exam and obtaining Board Certification.
3. Applying for a specialist license and submitting all necessary documents to the Liberia Medical and Dental Council Evaluation Committee.
4. Completing and passing a Written or Oral Exam.
Current License Holders are also required to apply for license renewal with the Liberia Medical and Dental Council. /p>
